Biography: Kristal Webb grew up in north Alabama and found her love of mathematics at an early age. She is a graduate of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science, class of 2006! Not ready to leave the “big city” of Mobile behind, Kristal pursued and earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and pure mathematics from Spring Hill College. It was at Spring Hill that she discovered a love of logic and mathematical proofs leading to the pursuit of a master’s degree in mathematics with a focus on differential topology. Kristal spent several years working in biomedical engineering research before beginning her teaching career at MCPSS and then University of South Alabama. Kristal came “home” to ASMS as an adjunct instructor in Fall 2020. She is delighted to help ASMS students build strong foundations and create connections between mathematics and real world problems.
